Does anyone know if there is anyway to fully define sketch text?

I came across this issue today whereby I couldn't exit my sketch (I have the setting turned on to "Use Fully Defined Sketches") as the sketch text was under defined. The only way I could see to do it was to desolve the text & then fix in place.

Any other ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated.
