I've released SwPy, a free MIT-licensed add-in that lets you write SOLIDWORKS macros in Python instead of VBA.

- Runs Python inside SOLIDWORKS, so API calls are as fast as VBA
- Task-pane editor with autocomplete for the SOLIDWORKS API, plus F1 to open the API help
- Simple helpers: model.dims["D1@Boss-Extrude1"] = 25 * mm, mass properties, face/edge queries, extrude/cut/fillet, assemblies, drawings, export to STEP/PDF/DXF
- Use any Python library (numpy, pandas, openpyxl for Excel) by adding one comment line
- No Python install or admin rights needed

Works with SOLIDWORKS 2020 and newer.
