Free access to chapter of paid surfacing site

I've made access available to one chapter of my paid surfacing site. The free chapter is Boundary vs Loft, a comparison of the two features, and when to use which. It goes through how to use connectors, using loft to point, the drag curves function, using 3d sketches, and more. This free chapter is one out of about 40 total.

This chapter uses some general concept models, as well as a razor handle, and a surfboard.

The site overall is a book-length sequel to the SolidWorks Surfacing Bible, but with all new examples and models. It runs the gamut from filleting to splines and shelling, the fill surface, master model, body management, layout sketches, best practices, and so on.

I've also got 12 example chapters where I walk through how to make models such as:

  • emblem
  • brass instrument
  • ladle
  • plastic bottle
  • motocross full face helmet
  • aircraft
  • 2 sports cars
  • decorative furniture
  • splitting a mold
  • sunglasses
  • working from industrial design sketches

I answer any questions you've got directly in the comments section, changes are listed in the change log, and I've been adding material with requests and as I come up with new stuff.

The link to the free chapter is here. There is also a table of contents on the right side of the screen, once you get there. If you want to sign up and pay for access to the rest of the site, click here, and select annual or monthly access.
