Forum?

I haven't been in the forums for about two months now. I have had issues, solved them by googling and sometimes finding answers in the forums. Bookmarked the answers that were worth something, just in case I need the same questions answered again.

So. Today I have another one of those questions. I google. I find a post that might be interesting. I try to open that post. And then... nothing? I mean... yes, something is opened. But it's not helpful because it just opens one post, and not the entire discussion, as it used to happen before.

https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/210580

that's the link I was trying to open.

So I'm like ermh... what? I go to my bookmarks folder to open a post I had read previously. Same thing. So I go to my inbox and click on the nice View the full discussion link I used to click on in order to open up the entire discussion. And I get to a page not found page. Ok... I have to log in. So I log in. And then I get to this page where I cannot seem to find my previous posts. Or anything remotely normal.

So. Is it no longer possible to read the forums unless you are logged in? And How can you actually find what you need without having google point you right to it? I mean... it's not like I haven't previously tried looking for posts in the forum, but ended up with zilch relevant results because the forum search does a basic word match search while google actually listens to your entire sentence before it spits back results.

Unless I am missing something, this is a huge step backwards. Especially considering the staggering performance and functionality issues SW has in day to day use.

Thank you.

PS.: Why doesn't the ctrl+a function in here? I just tried to publish and nothing happened. So I figured copy my post in order to make sure I don't have to type it all in again. And I guess ctrl+a doesn't allow the user to select anything.
