Hi,
I have got question about the insertion of a 2d footprint in the solidworks electrical cabinet lay-out.
I have made a new 2d footprint for a new terminal in the footprint manager which was a modification of an already existing terminal. I've changed the name of this terminal both in the manager and in the footprint itself so it does not contain the same name. It does however refer to the same "class", "symbol type", and "library" as the terminal that was copy-pasted. I even added the terminal from within the manifactures part manager to this footprint as the reference. I have also added the terminal footprint to the corresponding part within the manufacturers part manager. But somehow when I insert it into the cabinet lay-out it will insert the right footprint BUT this is a simple line scheme without an part attached, so just "simple" lines grouped together. this can be seen in the pictures that are attached. It also does not tick the box in the for the terminal being placed from the tree on the left.
There is also a picture attached of the green/yellow terminal which does have these characteristics that are missing with this one.
Hope someone can help to solve this problem.
Thanks.
