Follow-up on SolidWorks Design Contests?

I am curious as to what has become of SW involvement in the design contest. There was a thread a few months ago regarding this topic:

Last year SW was a sponsor in the NASA Tech Briefs "Create the Future" Design contest but that program isn't running this year. We participated in the NASA contest and the attention we were able geneate from it has been very positive. Mark Biasotti represented SW in the judging and I was able to meet and thank him for his participation while at a West Mi SWUG meeting (prior to harassing him during the Q&A session!).

As a very small company, having a world-wide forum to display our capabilities in the same space as the large well known players is a rare opportunity. The experience not only benefits our business, it's a fun way to see what like-minded designers are up to.

I understand framing a contest like this is difficult: design value as in contribution to society or a drawing/modeling contest for efficiency, etc. None the less, having requested the feedback from the forum users what is the future of SW design contests?
