When I render my assembly everything does show except my flexible tube.

I have opened the flexible tube seperately and when I try to render this the tube also doesn't show.

When I assign an appearance to the tube the appearance is not applied.

I cannot get the tube to show up in the render, anyone an idea what can be the problem?
