I am testing out ePDM 2013. I can't figure out why this is happening.

I created a word document (office 2010) with a template.  I didn't open the file, just clicked create file and then I manually checked it in.  Went to look at the history and there is nothing.  Then i changed state on the file to Released, and still history did not populate.

Then I created another file with same template, history did populate, however there was an added comment  I did not add. Nor was this comment in the the document the template was referencing.

Attached is picture of the empty history and the extra comment which is circled in red.
