Does anyone know how long it should take to convert fileversions in the vault or local machine?

I started a task yesterday in a test folder with 93 files in it.Over an hour later, 8 conversions had failed and it was stillchurning. We have thousands of files in the vault, I can't see itbeing logical to put that much time into converting them unlesssomething went wrong in my test scenario.

Experience anyone?
