So I use the Edit in Context function to open the part file that is being insert but this only works when the references aren't locked. I'd really like the ability to just open the part by right click the feature regardless of if the feature is locked or not assuming the reference isn't broken and I have access to the file. Mostly sometimes I'll be working through the feature tree on the part that's being inserted and I don't want the roll back to propogate into the other model but its a pain to lock and unlock the reference.
