Is there a way to use Feature Driven Pattern inside a solid part model (.sldprt). (Currently it does not seem possible using 2013 at least.)

Or is there something similiar to the one in assembly mode?

What I'm trying to accomplish is that I want to use existing slots (about 6) on a plate that have no pattern, but are in the same extrusion, as my seeds for a hole pattern that is required around each slot. All within one feature.

I know you can set up a library feature part to do this but that'll add about 6 features to my design tree and I'm trying to keep as clean and simple as possible.
