Fatigue analysis of pre-tensioned vs un-tensioned bolt

Good day all,

I have a task where I must simulate two plates held together with a countersunk bolt under a shear load. I need to compare two scenarios, one where the bolt is properly tensioned/pre-loaded and another where it is not pre-loaded and will fail due to fatigue.

To start I am using the SW connector bolts and I am able to run the static simulations fine. However once I run the fatigue study, it does not show the behavior of the bolt.

If I were to model the bolt I don't know how to set it up.

Could you guys advise on how I should go about this?
