Hi Everyone, I attached a picture to make more sense of what I'm asking.

If I want to save just a section as a part file as an individual file, how do I do that. I am continuousy running into problems because the relation of the base (circled in blue) is based on the curvature of the larger squared cone. So when I delete the square cone, Solidworks automatically deleted the base simply because it has a relation based on the square cone.

How can I avoid this.
