I have an assembly with a swtich and a cap.  I have made the cap with multiple configurations so it can be red, blue, black, white, etc.

In the assembly I'm trying to select the mated cap and change the config so I can export an assmebly, in STEP 2014 with the switch and the black cap, then the red cap, and so on.  So far, no matter what cap configuration I have, the export is always the same.  Switch + red cap. 

Am I missing a step, or is this just not possible?
