Hi all-
I use alot of common parts in different colors in assemblies
I've just learned how to use display states to create configs depending on part color (body part and face/feature color) and it works great.
So Ive got a wheel assembly that contains another assembly.
In order to get the correct colors to show it seems I have to create a configuration in all assemblies that contain the configurable part.
My example is a wheel assembly 1 which contains the wheels( front, back, and gear).
Wheel assembly 2 contains 2 wheel assembly1's and 1 axle.
So if i want Wheel assembly 2 to be a different color, I have to configure all the assemblies-- I gets tedious if there alot of assemblies with in assemblies within assemblies.
Is this the best way to achieve what I want to do?
Also, each assembly has an exploded view. It seems that the exploded view only works for the configuration it was created in.
If I created another config with for a different color wheel in an assembly, there is no exploded view for it--
Any tips--
Joe
