I'm wondering if I have outdated paths residing in my SW-2014 Explorer search folder, possibly originating from successive SW upgrades back to v2010? Or possibly I defined / mis-defined  them at some point. These paths are displayed under SW Explorer: Options, Search Tab, Current folders window. For example I see paths like

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\Office 15\Visio....

C:\Program Data\Microsoft Windows\Start Menu..

C:\Solidworks data..

C:\Users\...

E:\user files\ pictures..

What is the purpose of these paths? Is it adversely affecting performance? Any harm in deleting them?

ps - I am a single SW seat user & all files located on my local hard drive & I don't use SW workgroup PDM

ps- I originally started out looking for a way to set a default folder upon opening Explorer. Looks like that is still on the SR to-do list. Maybe SW-2015?
