I have a very simple skid and I want to see if I can stack several of these on top of each other. The areas that will support the skid above are in blue in 01.

I fix the bottom part of the assembly. And apply a normal load to the blue surfaces as shown in 02.

I choose a coarse mesh setting to simplify things as shown in 03.

I can't even finalize the mesh because every single mate in the assembly is treated as an interference as shown in 04.

I've used Solidworks for over a decade and even though I don't use it daily, I can't see that I'm doing anything wrong. Any help?
