EPDM is not responding when under VPN

We setted Solidworks EPDM for a new hire who joined recently. When under the corporate wifi, the EPDM works fine. But once switched to his personal network+office VPN, the EPDM is not responding and finally promt below error:

Could not get the files from the database. This could happen during heavy database traffic, please try the operation again later.
(A coomunication link failure occured when accessing the database server. The database service might have been restarted or the network might have gone down. Please try the operation again and contact your system administrator if the problem persists.)

Once switch back to corporate network and then it is working. Other users have no such issue when under VPN, only this new hire.
 

Can anyone assist on this?
