I am trying to design a part that would have openings on each of the four main faces.
Two openings are symmetrical so I could reflect them through a plane.
Another two openings are at 90 degrees to the first two openings but their distance from the center is also different.
All openings face out so I cannot use a sketch-driven pattern because all openings must face outwards.
If I use a revolved pattern, than I cannot cause those openings to get closer to the center or go depper inside.
If I do it in a separate feature than revolved pattern gets in the way since i cannot disable it without caussing all parts that are related to it to become disabled.
How should I do this operation? Redraw all openings twice? This part will increase in complexity and it will be a problem.
I tried using "move face" but I couldn't get it to reflect. There must be bugs. I wish I could determine a sketch-driven pattern with a direction my part is facing.
When I try to reuse a block and put it on the right face and do everything by hand, I run into this problem: I cannot do a blind cut. This option just isn't there. Is this a bug?
Thanks.
