While I am able to drop simple 4pin connectors (part files) into their female receptacles and route cables effectively using SWX Routing, I am unable to do so with Assembly Connectors.

I am able to drop one connector in place, but placing subsequent connectors won't snap into place preventing any routing.

The connectors mate fine with the receptacles as you can see below.

The problem here, which isn't visible, is that each connector is isolated in its own assembly which prevents routing between them.

I just want to reiterate... This procedure works fine with connectors built as part files but not assembly connectors...

Anyone know why this might be?
