Hi,

I need to do a thermal simulation on an electromagnet similar to this:

The real object actually it's made of a series of elicoidal layers of steel in which there's current flowing, and some layers of insulating material.

I need to calculate electromagnet at equilibrium with SolidWorks Simulation thermal solver.

I know current flowing into the conducting layer, voltage, and electrical power.

Are there any formulas in literature to convert an electrical power into thermal power to input in SolidWorks Simulation ?
