In the SWW 2019 promotional video (Extended Reality (XR) - SOLIDWORKS 2019 - YouTube) the new feature allows users to 'Open in VR' from eDrawings 2019 and view the files in VR using the HTC Vive or Vive Pro VR headset.

Also mentioned in their blog (What to do with your new Extended Reality (XR) File), the eDrawings 2019 has an Extended Reality exporter where users can Save as .gITF or .glb file format and view CAD models in VR mode by leveraging on the Approved Technology Providers (like MetaVision).

What is the main difference when viewing files in VR mode with 1. eDrawings 'Open in VR' and 2. Extended Reality exporter (.gITF and .glb)?
