I've got a lot of sheet metal parts with custom drawn flanges (where you remove the standard square from the sketch it gives you and put in a new one). But I've noticed that these do not appear in the equations dimension list, and it will not allow me to reference variables in the dimension boxes in the edge flange sketches.

Is this a bug or glitch or something?

I've attached a screenshot showing that the sketch exists and the dimensions screen which shows no dimensions from said sketch, despite there being about 5 of them called out. I bet I can work out a workaround, but I'm really getting tired of working around the software instead of with it.
