An actual mechanism designed for out of the box control of the ECO process.

Users are using such a variety of mashed together concepts.  Word docs, xml files, virtual docs.

How about an interface to easily capture a mark up from eDrawings, fill out a form, attach files, trigger work flow changes. ECO approved it triggers workflow in files.

I have seen this done by clever naming of transitions, but still kind of kludgy.

We should just have another card type called ECO/ECN which is just a whole separate specific set of functionality.

If it was good this would MASSIVELY decrease the complexity of custom implementations.  Right now the VARs have to basically make it up every time.
