My company uses both SW 2008 and AutoCAD R14 (don't laugh)and often I need to convert SW drawings into AutoCAD. If I justsave as a dwg, you end up with a a jumble of lines all on the samelayer.
To avoid this I go through and create a layer for each part andthen change component line fonts to those layers. It's not too badfor assemblies with a couple parts, but I don't really look forwardto doing it for a drawing with 100+ parts.
Is there anyway to set it up so that Solidworks assigns a layer toeach part or maybe makes each part a block when you create adrawing view?SolidworksDrawings And Detailing
