Hello everyone,
I'm having an issue with dynamic highlighting. I have a SolidWorks part with weldments created for a frame. There are a total of 8 separate frames in the weldment. This is the way our company creates frames, so you cannot have 8 separate part files; everything has to be in one part. So, you create display states to show the individual frames to keep the overall size of the file smaller instead of configurations (SolidWorks suggests doing that in their help section). When you bring in the part to a drawing, you select which display state you want to use. What happens when you do this is that it still recognizes there are bodies there, even when they are hidden in the display state. Dynamic highlighting highlights every part, even the non-visible bodies. Is there an option that turns off this behavior? I like using dynamic highlighting because when turned off, it will still select the invisible parts or not allow you to select the line you want, and you can't see why. It does this because there is technically a part in the way that you can't see. Below are pictures that might show the problem better.
Thank you for any help
