When I called Dell to get a machine recommended, They suggested a t3500 workstation. I am satisfied with everything but a little unsure about hte graphics card(s). The dell guy is recommending two QuadroFX 1800 cards. This is the same setup that a couple of my CAD buddies have, but when I washed it by my SW reseller/Tech support they said that the dual cards would not be of any benefit.
1. Is this true?
2. If it isn't, is it better to go with one big card, or two lesser ones?
here is the machine spec
Dell T3500
6GB DDR3 1333MHz SDRAM
W3580 XEON PROCESSOR
DUAL NVIDIA QUADROFX 1800's
WINDOWS 7 64BIT
2X300GB SATA 10K RPM RAID 1 FOR 2 HARD DRIVES
520W POWER SUPPLY
MINI TOWER CHASSIS
Thoughts?
Thanks
Jay
