SolidWorks shows solid lines for tangential edges for sheet metal drawings.
I am being asked to supply drawings by a subcontractor with dashed lines for the bend start and finish edges.
I have trawled the web and forums to try and find the 'Standard' as to how to show this.
The only use I can find for dashed lines in respect for sheet metal is in flat patterns.
(If you have the "SolidWorks Training Manual" for Sheet Metal [mine is 2009] they as shown on page 116)
To show dashed line implies hidden detail which would give a false implied thickness of the material and not the bend radius.
I am all for best practices, but can anyone point me to a definitive drawing standard for non-flat views of bends?
