Thanks all for your replies. I assumed it was server based for templates etc but just wanted to get some feedback to see if there was any reason to store locally.

We have always stored our standard templates on a server but recently, a new user is stating that the templates should be stored locally (C: drive). Does anyone have experience (positives and negatives) of using and managing standard templates for a small work ground of around eight people?

Is it likely, as our new user states, that if you are using templates from a server you could lose all of your current work session if the network goes down.
