Hello forum;
a few years back, I would occasionally see a drawing note that said, in no certain terms, the the 3D model drove the dimensions on the drawing, not the drawing itself, and the note made a location reference to that model in some way.
1. is there a standard note or wording that companies use for this? If you have it, would you mind sharing?
2. I would guess the point of said note is to establish that in today's 3D CAD environment, a drawing without a model is useless, and therefore, a drawings' dimensions are based on the geometry of said model, and if those dimensions have to be changed, it's the model that gets changed. In other words, no "AutoCAD-ing" the drawing by fudging the dims.

I don't think this is acceptable, and extremely off the mark of the "CAD file note" I referred to.
