I ran into something from a customer that I had to correct. I have had the draft feature fail for me in the past when the face I was trying to draft was tangent to a fillet. In the examples I have attached draft was created, but should not have been because the result is an undercut. (at least from an injection molding standpoint it is an undercut.)
Example 1 is a full radius and 2 is a fillet at the bottom of the wall. I actually expected example 2 to fail, but it does not.
Does anybody agree with me that SW should not allow this draft to be applied due to the tangencies?
I created the examples is 2009 and they are available in that format. I then brought them over to 2010 to see if anything had changed in the new version but they act the same.
