I am having some extreme difficulties with creating my SW2015 administrative image. In short it keeps failing at specific spots saying it cannot ope certain databases i.e. edrawings. It is NOT a permissions issue. That has been vetted out already.

My question is...a while ago I thought I remember someone, maybe my VAR, maybe not I just can't remember, saying that for major releases of SolidWorks i.e. 2014 to 2015 to NOT download from the SolidWorks website and to use the discs. That the download from the website should be used for service pack updates. So use the discs provided for the primary installation files and the update to the latest service pack from the web.

Is this true?
