Our coupmany is currently using SolidWorks 2009 SP4 and we are using Workgroup PDM. We have a number of drawings and models that start at rev "A" and go to and past "AA". Some go past "AZ" to "BA" - "BZ". I have a couple of issues...
1. When we check in a model/drawing at say rev "Z" then it is revised to "AA", the sequential revisioning works but the PDF is no longer viewable.
It states "Adobe Reader could not "File name.SLDDRW.pdf" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded".)
But revision "Z" was viewable just fine.
2. After the Revisions have moved to the double characters the files are no longer able to be checked out of the vault. When selecting open/check out, The error reads...
"Error retrieving "File Name.SLDPRT" from the server. Do you wish to continue anyway?"
When selecting "Yes" the check out fails and the error reads "Error opening "File Name.SLDPRT" in SolidWorks".
I have already verified that we are on the latest version of Adobe. Sequential revisioning is selected in the Vault Admin. Life Cycles are enabled. The Revision scheme is a range. Changing to a Primary and Secondary revision scheme doesn't solve the issue either.
If any one can lend some advice I would greatly appreciate it.
