Does Solidworks Document Manager DLL (2017) require Visual C++ 2012 redistributable.

We supply the Solidworks Document Manager DLL with our distribution.  At 2017, the DLL fails to register.  Attempting to register the DLL using regsvr32 as administrator (as documented) now fails.  The solution is to install the Visual C++ 2012 redistributable.  If we include that with the installer, then the registration can succeed.  This was not necessary with the 2016 DLL.  I cannot find any mention in the documentation that this redistributable is now required.  Do we have this correct?
