If I use a forming tool to create a rib that would be added during our press break operation, does the forming tool account for any kind of bend deduction? Since this is a simple rib tool ("V" punch), I know I can do sketch bends to accomplish the same thing to get the bend deductions, but that is a pain in the butt to do for every rib. The cross-break feature does not work if you only need one rib as it only works with 2 ribs at a time. I also do not think that one accounts for a bend deduction too.
Attached are two screen shots of my current part. The two pairs of slots are for tabs that my tube insert uses to locate on the sheet metal base, then a 1"x1" tube slips over the insert and is flush with the side of the base. So the slots need to be in a precise location because of the 1"x1" tube box frame.
Thanks,
Kyle
