I just started a new job and am trying to understand the processes here. We have a small mechanical department and can recommend changes. I am trying to see understand why this may have been set up this way before I change it.
It appears that the BOM table used on drawings uses the title of the part (SW-title, from the Summary tab in the properties) rather than Description. For parts that do have Description, it appears that it is linked to SW-Title.
Does anyone else use this?
If you use this, is there any easy way to fill in the Title without having to go to the Summary tab? Can it be included in the property tab builder? (If it can be included, please let me know how, I didn't see an easy way to do this.)
I can see a way to link Description to SW-Title. Can the opposite be done so that you would fill out Description in the custom properties and then Title would update to match?
