I am trying to do a stress analysis of an altitude chamber. I drew 4 panels to create the chamber and the front flange separate and created an assembly. Only the edges of the chamber opening and the edge of the flange actually meet. They are joined by a weld bead. The rest of the chamber is also welded at all joints inside and outside. The outside and the front joint of the chamber and flange are shown. My question is does the weld bead actually join the two parts? If not, is there a way to make the welds join the 2 parts together? I keep getting errors when trying to run the pressure simulation stating it may not have enough fixtures. Ultimately I would like to fix the front flange and pressurize the outside of the chamber, testing the welds and measuring deflection and stress levels throughout. Any help is more than welcome.
Thank you,
Troy
