Hello, I ran into a calculation error that confuses me.
Here is a particular joint involving 5 separate parts.
All the pieces are mated together and touching.
It meshes fine.
But the when the static simulation is run, you start noticing a very glaring error.
Why does that one beam not have any stress?
Viewing the displacements you can quickly see why.
For some reason, solidworks doesn't appreciate this beam being attached to the joint.
Maybe the beam isn't actually touching the joint and is in fact a very small distance away?
Hmmm nope, not on that surface...
That's a negatory on that surface as well...
Any ideas, or insights as to why Solidworks doesn't like this beam?
