Hi, I am trying to run simulations on a platform to find the displacement of it when a fixed force is acting on it. I tried both linear and non-linear simulation on it but I got different results from them. In theory, the results should be similar since it is below the yield stress and the resultant displacement is relatively small. Thus, I am wondering as to why such a discrepancy occur and which simulation is accurate and whether I made any mistakes with the simulations.
