I have seen information about creating dimples but I dont think they apply completely to my situation. I have a 'piece of pie' shaped thin foil that i need to put in a circular array of dimples at specific spacing. The tricky thing is the dimples protrude outside the thickness of the foil. I have used the indent feature to create a dimple but I cannot figure how to pattern this. I also looked into making a revolved cut (shape of the dimple) in a thicker (than dimple protrusion) solid body and then cut the 'backside' up to a surface and around the dimple features but I was unable to find a way to cut around the dimple feature. The first attachement show the basic pattern i am looking for with one of the correct dimples (using indent) shown in th lower corner...the pattern is a simple cut into the material. The second and third show the shape of the dimple and how it protrudes outsid the base material. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Mike.
