I read a case similar to mine that happened in 2012. basically I changed the location of something in a part and it didn't save over into the drawing. I tried Ctrl+Q, theres no yellowing of the dimensions indicating an error, or even an error message. I also checked to make sure the Dimension text wasn't manually overridden and it doesn't apper to be what is wrong.  The demension just isn't changing. the drawing includes the assembly where the dimension does in fact change with the part. any suggestions?

when it comes to how I was getting to the part to change it, I accessed it through the drawing by clicking on the individual part drawing, not the assembly drawing.
