Hello,

I have a question. I desing parts that are made out of sheet metal in our shops. I draw the flat pattern of the sheet metal and give the dimensions of the patter in (x,y) coordinates for the machinist. They prefer this method because they enter the coordinates into the machine to make the parts. I have not figured out a way to pull x,y coordinates from my drawing to display on the sheet. Thus, I have to pull the dimesions for each coordinate and then manually enter them in as a note pointing to the coordinate.

Is there a way in solidworks to display dimesions as x,y coordinates?

I attached a file that displays my dimensions as x,y coordinates. I prefer not to manually enter them because on some parts you can imagine the room for error from entering in so many numbers.
