Solidworks Version: 2016
Hi, recently, I have been tasked with creating a design table driven component which would allow our company to convey hundreds of different coil assemblies with just a single model. I have been running into issues with dimension direction. Here is a standard new part, a single sketch, showing I do in fact have dimension direction controls. It works completely as expected:
However, here is my problem part. The dimension shown in blue is controlled by the design table, but I have "Allow model edits to update the design table" checked. Regardless, there is no "reverse dimension" control visible:
This dimension occasionally will need to be a value of 0, to make the 3 line segments colinear with the construction geometry we are dimensioning it off of. When I initially set this sketch up, I get the desired behavior when changing this dimension's length:
Now, whenever I activate the configuration where the dimension is 0, any time I activate those previous configurations (0.5, 1.5, etc.), the sense of the dimension is permanently changed, and cannot be updated even when setting negative numbers within the table:
I just want to track down if this is an issue with my sketch, or if I can specify the dimension sense via some other parameter in the design table. Either way - I am at a loss.
