I am working on a drawing where I have created a couple of detail views. I need to create some virtual sharp points in those detail views in order to create dimensions.. In order to create these points, I set up a layer called "Sketch". On this layer I can create the sketched reference points & lines and then when I'm done, I can hide these reference features. This has worked fine a number of times in the past.

However, this time when I go to the detail view to create these points, it wants to display them in the parent view and not the detail view. What is causing this? Have I overlooked clicking on something?

I'm running 2019 sp. 2.
