Hi All,
I'm looking for some insight into the use of Design Tables, Configure Feature, and Specify Configuration methods for controlling a part model and am hoping that you can help me out.
- Did you know SolidWorks offers Design Tables, Configure Feature, or Specify Configuration? (see images at bottom for locations of these functions)
- Do you use Design Tables, Configure Feature, Specify Configuration, All three, or None?
- If you use more than one method; Can you break it down by approximate percentages?
- If don't use any of the methods; Why not?
- If you use any of the methods; Why do you use one instead of the other?
- If you use all three, when and why do you use one instead of the other?
- What are the limitations of the method(s) you use?
- What should we do to improve the method(s) you use?
- What Excel functions (if-then, lookup, concatenate, etc) do you use in your Design Tables?
Thanks for your input,
Jody
