So I have recently been using design tables to show the before and after dimensions of a steel stud that was cold press onto a wire rope assembly.  The way I have done this is by modeling the swage area first, then modeling the threaded stud portion.  I have been using cosmetic threads on the threaded portion.  This works great when the swage diameter and the thread diameter are not the same, however when they are the same it throws an error with the cosmetic threads.  I get the error "Cannot select a face/plane which is created after this feature."  I have found a workaround where I deselect "Merge result" when I model the threaded portion, however I'm not a huge fan of this solution.  Any suggestions?
