Hello All,

Not sure if this is a feature enhancement that was added in later versions of SolidWorks or not so I'll list that my company has SW2012.  Basically the title of this document says what I am wanting to do is be able to create multiple levels of Derived configurations.  This way I can Change Root Level 1 and Alter items subsequently in levels 2 and 3 while changing things in level 2 would just alter level 3 and of course changing level 3 alters nothing.  Obviously this could be expanded out as many levels as needed but for my purpose I'd really love to have 3 levels.  It seems though that I can only create new configurations and then create a derived from a base but then I can't create derived from an already derived configuration?  Any input would be appreciated.
