Dell M4700 vs Eurocom Racer 2.0

Hi!

Last month I purchased two laptops for solidworks see the thread "Green light for new workstations". So far we are very happy with both machines. Now we are hiring a new CAD tech so I will need a third machine for him.

For approximately the same price which fit my budget, I can configure those two machines:

Eurocom Racer 2.0

15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) Matte screen

Nvidia Quadro 3000m 2gb GDDR5

Intel I7-3720QM (Quad-core 2.6 ghz up to 3.6)

RAM 2 x 4gb DDR3-1600

128 gb mSATA SSD

500 gb 7200 rpm Sata HDD

Win 7 pro 64

Dell Mobile Precision M4700

15.6" UltraSharp FHD (1920 x 1080) Wide View Anti-Glare Premium Panel Guarantee

Nvidia Quadro K2000m 2gb GDDR3

Intel I7-3520M (Dual-core 2.9 ghz up to 3.6)

RAM 2 x 4gb DDR3-1600

128 gb mSATA SSD

500 gb 7200 rpm Sata HDD

Win 7 pro 64

What would you choose? And why?

From my standpoint, Dell seems to get a little more out of their machines with drivers optimization but other than that the Eurocom got a better CPU and GPU, at least on paper.

So far on my Eurocom Neptune with a Quadro 3000m I haven't been able to use the full capacity of the GPU so I'm tempted to say that the K2000 could be enough for what I need for my new colleague except that I can find any type of usefull comparison between both GPU!

Thank you for your time.

Patrick
