Hey Guys, I have some experience with AutoCAD and I'm pretty new to Solidworks but I'm learning pretty fast with the help of existing questions asked here and asking my own. So really thankful to the community

Now, I'm using parts in which I insert other parts (sometimes for addition and subtraction) but it seems the part file is then forever linked to the part file inserted. If I delete the part file (the one that was inserted) or rename it, it gives an error in the file it was inserted in. So my question is, Is there a way to break that link between the two files and delete (or atleast rename) the file after it's inserted into another part?
