How to un-select a node (joint) of a frame structure while simulating a beam model in solidworks simulation?

In help I could see following method,

However, when I get inside Edit joints and in Results when I pick a joint which I want to un-select, I don't get any delete option.

What am I missing here?

What I wish to do is to avoid cross ties forming a joint at the middle, I want them free and independent of each other.
